"Banjo Story" was originally recorded in 1988 as a cassette, but bootlegged CD versions began to appear years later. Some tracks from "Banjo Story" later appeared on a compilation album "Fresh Meat + Old Slabs" that Beck cobbled together as a birthday present for his mother.
