This was the first album Nancy Sinatra made after ending her professional relationship with producer/Svengali Lee Hazlewood. Perhaps as a result it's a total departure from her earlier work and all over the stylistic map. There are sentimental ballads performed with solo guitar ("My Dad, My Pa"), country songs ("Here We Go Again"), pre-rock pop standards ("Old Devil Moon"), a cover of Dusty Springfield's "Son of a Preacher Man," a minimalist version of a blues classic ("Big Boss Man," slowed to an absolutely glacial tempo), and even a big orchestral assault on the Doors "Light My Fire." This remastered version also thoughtfully appends "Happy," a single that marked Sinatra's last collaboration with Hazlewood, as a bonus track.
